Turning Points

World War II is raging on and it is the summer of 1942, Hitler has invaded Russia (breaking the non-aggression pact) and has advanced to the gates of Leningrad, Stalingrad, and Moscow, the only thing that ever slows Hitler down it seems like is winter. (Well winter and Churchill’s hott manliness.) The execution of Jewish people grows in Nazi occupied lands, as does the theft of art, money, and slaves to work in Germany. Germany is starting to feel the effects of war from occasional bombings and rationing, but overall life is not that terrible yet.
America was been attacked by Japan on December 7th 1941, and has officially entered the war, but will not get many troops to Asia or Africa/Europe until the summer of 1942. Japanese living in America have been sent to internment camps where they will live for most of the war. The Americans fear they are spies, although there is little to no evidence to support this. However, many fear that Japan has woken a sleeping Giant. Victory for the allies still looks somewhat unlikely at least for many years at this point, as the Germans, Japanese, and Italians still control much of Europe and Asia. However, there is hope on the horizon and many believe the tide of the war is about to change. (Write a post about anything that happens including Pearl Harbor, about life in occupied lands, propaganda, up until Stalingrad and El-Alamein)

Finally!! My wish has come true!!! America has finally entered the war!! Wooohoooo!!! Although “how” they entered the war is not that pleasant. Japan had bombed America at Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. This was the destruction of America on their own turf, which is why they entered the war. Around 2000 people died on the day of the Pearl Harbor attack. Although I am saddened of the destruction and devastation at Pearl Harbor, I am overjoyed that America has finally entered the war! Hitler can finally be stopped once and for all now!! America, Britain, and Russia are now an ally. These three countries are the last countries that could put up a fight against Germany. Now that they’re all together, fighting against one enemy, there’s no way Germany can get away with this! HAA!! SUCK IT HITLER!! YOUR DAYS ARE OVER PUNK!! I understand that America wants to focus on Japan, now that they’ve woken the “sleeping Giant.” However, their original goal was to stop Hitler, and they better stick with it! Hitler and his Nazi crew have conquered Leningrad, Stalingrad, and Moscow after breaking the Non-Aggression pact with Russia. The Russian citizens remain living in terrible conditions, but I hope they can overcome the Germany rule, similar to what Britain did! It’s pretty sad how winter seems to be the only freaking thing stopping Hitler right now!
Life continues to be very awful and terrible with my family and I. We’ve managed to sneak out of the ghetto somehow, and we found a close friend that we can stay with. However, living with our close friend is not that relaxing and any better in anyway. We have less room than before, and we have to live with a constant fear of being found by the Nazi and be sent to concentration camps. It sucks how my family and I live in the heart of Germany, where the Nazi rule and power is the strongest, therefore the worst. At least the countries that are being occupied by the allies of Germany don’t have it as rough as the countries being directly controlled by the Nazis are. I just hope we can stay safe and not found by anyone until America finds someway to take over this Hitler “era.” Honestly though, Hitler’s butt is going to get whipped in a couple of months. I’M CALLING IT FELLAS!!

    2. Hey Asher, how have you been?
Its Isak Zaslavsky from Russia.I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how pleased I am about America joining the war to help us! WE FINALLY HAVE AN ADVANTAGE over those blasted Germans. Anyway I'm sure that Hitler will be stopped very soon. Here in Russia, we have actually stopped the Germans for once, with the help of winter... I wish your family good luck, and I'm sure you will be fine. STAY STRONG!

    3. I'm praying that you beat Hitler. These concentration camps are TERRIBLE and I cannot believe that this is real life. These camps are worse than I could have ever imagined and I truly hope we all make it out of here some day. BEAT THE GERMANS!

    4. Ciao Asher, it’s Giovanni Monacelli (Alec S.). I too am glad that the Americans have joined the war, but why on the other side of Italy! I mean Russia isn’t so bad, but Churchill reads at a third grade level! Why are you allied with him????? I mean trust me, I hate Hitler just as much as the next guy, but how could America join the other side. You know deep down Italy is more powerful than Britain. In my opinion, this is an all-in for America. If they fail in trying to beat Germany then they will become part of Nazi rule. If they joined the axis powers they would have formed the most powerful alliance on earth and would have without a doubt benefited in the long run. But hey, who am I to question the poor decisions of one country. Well that’s all I have to say to you.
(P.S. I also think that what the damn Japs did was terrible and they should pay!)

    5. Hey I'm right with you on that. Now only if the Allies could get here fast enough before Hitler decides to do something crazy. What part of Berlin are you in? Maybe we can help each other out and get some supplies for our families. Or we can just wait it out until the Allies arrive, your choice. Hit me up when you get a chance and then we can go from there. Stay hidden.

    6. Yo dog (Asher), I still feel your pain, but just keep hanging on, this war is changing fast and could be over before you know it. Thanks to America we could be out of these ghettos shortly, so just keep hanging on to a sliver of hope and just try to stay alive for as long as you can, becayse this whole thing could be over before you know it.

  2. Alexander Johnson
    June 24th, 1942

Guess what everyone: You can now refer to me as U.S. GENERAL Alexander Johnson. How’s my son you ask? HE’S DEAD. My first born flesh and blood, Abraham, is dead. I saw him die with the rest of his squad on a Destroyer that day. Those damn Japanese war planes piercing the sky and unleashing all Hell upon us. I will never forget that look on his face when I last saw him before the ship exploded and sank. We never recovered his body. Is this what you self-righteous Europeans wanted? IS THIS WHAT YOU FREAKING WANTED? MY SON IS DEAD!!!! MY FIRST BORN! MY FLESH AND BLOOD! GONE! And what’s worse? I WATCHED HIM DIE! RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! My boy, my child that I raised, loved, nurtured, and used to take hunting. My son is GONE! I hope you are ALL HAPPY! You wanted America’s help? HERE WE FREAKING ARE! Japan is going to BURN! I will not REST until EVERY LAST JAR HEADED, RAT FACED JAP IS DEAD! They will ALL burn in HELL FOR THIS! IN Japan AND in America! I will see to it that EVERY LAST ONE IS OBLITERATED! Whether it be by MY HANDS or someone else’s I DON’T CARE! And to all of you DUMB, PATHETIC, SPINELESS $!#%s that thought that staying out of the war was a good idea CAN BURN WITH THEM! I have communicated with people in Europe and sent things to help and put me AND my family on the line for you and now THIS?!? TO ALL YOU JARHEADS: You want a war? FINE! ‘CAUSE I’M BRINING THE WHOLE GODDAMN PLANET ON YOU! YOU CAN’T HIDE AND I WON’T LET YOU! WHEN I GET THROUGH WITH YOU THERE WON’T BE A JAPAN ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!

    Angelique Johnson
    July 28th 1942

Hello? Is anyone there? I’m Alexander’s wife, Angelique and I need some help. I have given birth to my second child, Tobias Johnson, last month, but my husband went to war and I work at a factory building planes. Can anyone babysit him? Aside from that, I haven’t heard from Alexander in over a month! He used to write everyday then he just stopped! I haven’t received any letters saying that he’s missing nor a message saying that he’s dead. Can someone PLEASE tell me how my husband is doing? Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot sent me a letter telling me that my husband is alive and leading attacks, so I know he’s alive. What I don’t understand is that he won’t write to me anymore. Augustine Platane says he can see a surging bloodlust within my husband’s eyes! What concerns me most is the rumor that Alexander has been taking Japanese POWs out late at night and killing them gruesomely by flaying them and throwing the corpses in the ocean! That sounds too descriptive to not be true! Oh Alex, what am I to do? Anyway, please keep me posted n my husband if you guys and gals can! Remember, We Can Do It!

    2. Dear Angelique,

I believe your husband may be a bit too ambitious in a situation like this considering the obvious threat here is Germany. We should deal with the Japs once we free the occupied countries and can use the entirety of our militaries to take care take care of remaining threats. It is attitudes like his that will get us all killed.

WATCH YOUR TONGUE EUROPEAN! My rage knows NO BOUNDS and I will GLADY turn my attentions to you! If you need to know so badly, my division focuses on Japan unlike the other divisions working in Europe. THERE. Now you know! Question my motives again and there WILL be consequences. And I would like to put those ghastly rumors aside. I do not flay Japanese POWs and throw their bodies in the ocean. I put the bodies in an incinerator. I care for the ocean and wouldn't want to soil the final resting place of my son and so many others with the FILTHY body of a Jap! No, since they're going to Hell, I might as well send them in a First Class fashion!

  3. Hi Alexander. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of your son. I wish your family the best through this hard time. Once again, I am thrilled to tell you that America is finally joining the war, but I am saddened to hear what devastation the attack on Pearl Harbor had your American turf. By the way, I am thrilled to hear your new attitude towards war and your enemies! I love your war mentality against the Japs right now! Keep it up and you might save the world, especially the Jew population! Talk to you soon and hope you the best!

  4. Hey it's me, Jean-Luc, here. How has everybody been, because in case your wondering, life here is down right awful. I dare not leave my house alone for fear that the Nazis will find the Jews in the attic. My wife is gone, but I cant for sure say dead but I can certainly say missing. We were home and there were Nazis marching Jews through the streets and she some how found the nerve to speak out. They dragged her out of the house and in with the crowd of Jews. I haven't seen her since, but it influenced me to do what I could to help any Jews I possibly can, and if I get caught, well, at least I tried.
It just isn't fair, you know, those Nazis think they can just march in and take what they want just because they think they're stronger than us well I wont put up with it. America, Britain and ... cant believe I'm saying this.. Russia, we need your help. America your pretty far away and need to prepare I understand that Russia you've got you own problems, I understand that too, but Britain your so close isn't there anything you can do? Ships? Planes? Anything!? We cant help you until you help us. We need to eliminate these Nazi Overlords!

  5. Hey guys, Isak Zaslavsky reporting live from good old dying Russia. It hasn’t been a while since my last post, but I think I will recap just a little. So, where should I begin… Oh yes, I remember! MY COUNTRY HAD BEEN INVADED BY THE STUPID GERMANS. I WAS STARVING MY PANTS OFF AND THERE HAD BEEN A SIEGE PUT AROUND MY COUNTRY! When Hitler attacked before in 1941, he was luckily stopped due to Mr. Winter, THANK THE LORD. For once, we were actually saved… As for what has been occurring recently, I can’t say much except for the fact that we were attacked, AGAIN. The Battle of Stalingrad… Things got REALLY ugly this time around for the Germans. The fighting went on for two months and the Germans were eventually stopped again. WHY? IT WAS WINTER, the greatest season of WWII. The tables turned this time around. We captured many Germans, killed 200,000 and we began pushing to Berlin. YA BABY! Our troops our still on their way right now. However, it gets better. It has come to my knowledge that the Germans have been stopped in North Africa as well, at The Battle of El Alamein. The British and the Americans (Yes, they finally joined the war) both beat the crap out of the Nazi forces, and BOOM! The all-powerful Nazi’s surrendered. Ha-ha, this is what you stupid Germans deserve. How does it feel like to be at the lower end of the rope, you BLASTED GERMANS!

Alright guys as I was typing this, my son just ruined part of my happiness. I was just told that America was attacked by the Japanese before entering the war. Apparently, I missed a BIG part of the news. Oh, I think it was because I was trying to find a piece of bread I dropped in the sofa a couple days ago (which I successfully found). Anyway, I am now aware that the Japanese attacked America. THE JAPS BOMBED AMERICA AT PEARL HARBOUR. They sent in two waves of mini subs and airplanes, and knocked poor America out for about six months. Japan was able to take the Philippines, Guan, Indonesia, and Hong Kong. Thank goodness, the Americans put those Japs in the internment camps afterwards. YOU CAN NEVER TRUST THOSE JAPS!

Well that’s all of the new and thrilling news that’s going on. However, I almost forgot to mention the old news, once again regarding the Nazi’s. With the land that they have left (Ha, just some of Europe), they are being absolutely cruel. They are putting up Nazi governments, taking slaves for factories, stealing the art, imposing taxes, and treating the Jews horribly, as usual… THESE DAMN GERMANS WILL NEVER IMPROVE OR CHANGE. ONCE A ROTTEN GERMAN, ALWAYS A ROTTEN GERMAN! Well I guess, I am probably running out of time to write, as I’m going to town today to catch up on some of the WWII gossip, but this is Isak signing out, until next time. Adios…

(P.S. I saw these propaganda pictures of the Germans in their underwear running, can’t blame them. RUN YOU GERMANS, RUN. Ha-ha)

    1. I, personally, am not thrilled to be involved in the war. I know that Pearl Harbor was devastating, but the death toll from fighting in the war would only grow. I hope that our countries are able to liberate Europe from Nazi rule, but are also able to keep our men safe. Keep me posted on the war front!

  6. My family is very sad recently. This is due to the fact that it is summer, usually we would enjoy the fact that it is summer but we have been happy during the winter because that’s when the Germans are ineffective at battle. Our dear friends, The Americans, were bombed by the immature Japs! Those damn Japs have to seriously get their act together. I mean its just a random island thats kind of there and they have no right to go bombing the Arsenal of Democracy. They better believe there will be backlashes. One thing that my buddy in the military was telling me about, which by the way is Top Secret so if I tell you I’ll have to kill you. He was telling me that we were putting phony planes and tanks and a whole fake army in Africa to make the Germans think that we are prepared to fight! (LOL)

Fortunately Winston Churchill has kept us out of Nazi Rule for this long and hopefully it will last forever, Yet he won’t submit to a dna test to see if he's related to Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris is actually only 2 years old at this time but we still all know that he’s pretty awesome.
We’ve sent a bunch of these Japanese dogs out to the internment camps because they are all just spies trying to take our secrets (Recipes.) I’m just sick and tired of these wars. I’ve been through one and I don’t want this one to continue! After this whole war is over I’m moving to ‘Murica.

  7. Hi bloggers, Martin Smith here. Wow, a lot has happened since the last time I posted. Unfortunately, America was bombed out of isolation by the Japs. I had hoped that America would stay out of the war entirely, but at least this time, the battle started to enter our backyard. I guess you could say being the Arsenal of Democracy had its perks. I was able to find work. This meant that I could finally provide for my family again, which was really my only concern. I have heard of the cash-carry as well as the lend-lease, which aroused suspicion. Perhaps, America wasn’t as neutral as I had hoped. As it turns out, I was right. It was pretty obvious, especially when FDR agreed to the Atlantic Charter. I don’t know how we could have missed the signs, FDR was pushing for America to go to war!
As much as I think the bombing of Pearl Harbor was awful, I don’t want my family to be involved or affected by the war. With all the supplies and money we have lent to the Allies, shouldn’t they be able to help us out and allow for us to remain neutral? How did Switzerland manage to remain neutral and rather untouched from the war?! At least if we’re fighting in the war, we have a valid reason to be involved. I wish that America would have been able to stay neutral, but if the Japs want war, I guess they got what they asked for.

  8. This world has gone madder than Disney and god damn Nazi cartoons. I took my grandchildren to see a Donald Duck cartoon and all I saw was Nazi, Nazi, Nazi, Hitler, Japs, bullets, Nazi, Nazi, NAZISS!!!!!!!!!!! I ran out yelling and screaming before it ended and they found me in the fetal position is the woman’s bathroom lying in a pool of dirty, disgusting, beautiful, American toilet water. I hate this world. I hate my life. I hate this war. I hate my wife. I can barely stand this anymore. The only thing that an keep me on is my son and daughter that I love. This war as finally reached my beautiful country of mine and I wish that my curse was gone. Those Japs have to be shot and left to rot in their pathetic country of savages. I have been hearing voices in my head lately. Theirs names are Dr. Jimmy & Mr. Jim. They both only come out when I can’t think straight. Sometimes they take control of me.
Those ally’s of ours need to grow some cojones and fight for themselves. My son delivers mail to the munitions factory and he says that a lot goes to the USSR and Britain. When I was in the war I thought that the country that was fighting was supposed to provide guns and tanks and that kind of stuff. I better be getting something for doing this for being the only true American leader in my country. My daughter is over seas as a nurse and she says she wishes she was back home we me and that awful, disgusting, repulsive, creature that I call a wife. I hope and pray that my grandkids, Michael and Gavin, never get into a war. My dreams have been getting stranger and I couldn’t love it anymore. There are four boys and they always get into some crazy adventure which leads to one being killed every single time but to come back the next day. This dream has also given another vision of war I hope will not happen. Canada was at war with America over a show corrupting children’s mind and millions died over the fighting and the devil was also there. GET OUT! Get out of my head now you perverted spawn of Satan! No put down that gun. BLAM, BALM, POP. YES!!! My wife is finally dead I finally did it. I’m FREE! “Over the river and through the woods to hell I certainly will go. Over the rainbow and on the yellow brick road to the evil red demon’s house I go for tis the day I killed my wife.” I’m going to run through town cheering the whole way in my American flag jumps. I am Crazy and that’s the way uh huh uh huh I like it!

  9. My worst fears have been realized. I have been shipped off toward war. I tried to tell them I’m already a couple years over the age restriction, but they didn’t care. They told me they needed every man in this fight. It wasn’t like I had a choice anyway. Stalin basically decimated our own armies and men with his purges. It didn’t matter how old you are anymore, apparently I’m not an older man, and I’m just a servant to Russia. I can’t hide from madness, none of us can. It was only a matter of time before we all were brought down by Stalin. His vanity is coming to light. He is only defending Stalingrad, I wonder why? I mean seriously egomaniac much? Well I fear it’s near my time to go from this plane of existence. My only regret, not going to America and becoming an actor like I always wanted to be.

This is why I was dead set against war, but no one listened. At least life isn’t that bad here. At least, not as bad as it could be. I heard from Frederick that the countries under our control are being treated badly, and a lot of innocent people are dying. Hans doesn’t mind it, and says it’s “for the greater good.” War isn’t as easy as it was. It used to be that you’d just fly over a city and bomb it until you go bored. Now I fly planes over Africa, and with operation fortitude, it’s hard to tell what’s what.
Hans’s family is doing well. Drizella bought a cat named Rivet, and the kids adore her. Jack is now a year old and has said his first word: Hitler. Rotkappchen has started teething. My father, Puck (aka the one legged dude who lived with me), died of old age. Hamnet and Judith are doing well. It’s sad that they won’t know what this family was before the wars. Frederick was caught in an Underground procedure, and was killed. Brigitta is heart-broken. Johan died in the Russian winter, leaving her, Abba, and her unborn baby. Abba has been taking music lessons from Richard.
I would also take the time to say hello to Voravich, Sarah, Alyssa, and Pernell. Hello. (Just hello to everyone in general. I feel like I never start my posts by saying hello. Salutations, Evan. 11. WWII is under full effect. After the unfortunate event at Pearl Harbor America was dragged into our problem as they put it. Well now it is their problem as well. The second war to end all wars. But by now it is a whole world war. The Japanese living in America are being treated poorly I have heard. I don’t blame the Americans for doing such a thing to an inferior race. They are being sent to internment camps where they are to live and work for the next couple of years.
I have heard news about El Alamien down in Egypt. The British have stopped the German advancement onto the Suez Canal. If the canal was taken over Brittan would have no connection with their prized jewel, India. Now that they have been stopped the Germans are being pushed back. The plan is for the Americans and the British to squeeze the germs into Tunisia where they will become POW. And when the allies finally reach France I will have no mercy on anyone that refers to themselves as a German.

  12. Those darn Japs! They kicked us out of our isolation and attacked us at Pearl Harbor! Ohh how I had hoped we would stay out of war ever since the Great Depression. The funny thing was, they were at one of our meetings in Washington D.C. right before this surprise attack! It was like nothing was going to happen! They sent out two waves of attack and planned on knocking us out for one whole year!!! On the contrary, we were able to fight back and recover in six months! They must have been scared because they quickly retreated after their second attack! That’s how we Americans do things around here!! We are the superior country!

The attack shocked the whole nation and many people were brought into war. Luckily, I was able to stay in my hometown. America ends up winning this battle and the Japanese end up taking the Philippines, Guan, Indonesia, and Hong Kong. As long as they don’t interfere with my country, they can take whatever flippin country the want! We can’t trust the Japanese Americans anymore so they were put into concentration camps. We don’t need any Japanese spies in the United States and this is the only way we can prevent further attack. Those buck toothed, monkey looking Japs they put on those posters sure are ugly and I certainly don’t want them spying on my beautiful country! Well if they want war, THEN WAR THEY WILL GET!

Life is terrible, so far I have lost one of my children (as far as I know) and I am absolutely crushed. The only thing that ever makes me smile is when all of us prisoners are in our bunks and we make fun of the officers. Other than that, this place is worse than anything I could have imagined. We get barely any food, sometimes none one day. Everyone fights over it. You can literally see my ribs and tbh I think I look disgusting; I’m used to being buff and muscular. But back to my family, I pray every night and whenever I can that my family is okay. So many people are dying and the Nazi’s don’t even care. I don’t understand how they could be so cruel. Us Jews are people too.
So, last night I overheard a few of the officers having a conversation, and apparently on December 7th, 1941 (which I am assuming was recently) the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. In my opinion, that was an incredibly stupid move. They have awoken a sleeping giant. I just know the Americans are going to destroy them. They were trying to make peace until Japan came in a bombed them. Well, at least that’s what I’ve heard. Now, Japanese living in America are sent to internment camps. I don’t understand why countries send people to these places. Us Jews literally have done nothing to harm anyone and we didn’t try to take over anything either, why do we have to be put in these things? I mean, the Japanese have more of a reason to be in these things than we do! Their home country bombed another! Ugh, I just don’t get it. Well, goodbye for now, and hopefully not forever. It’s time for another day of Hell to begin.

  14. I take back what I said. I have some problems on how Hitler is running the territory. He has to step back and talk to the Japanese because if this keeps going on, we are ALL going to get killed! The Germans have just declared war on the Americans and I fear fighting will happen in France and all the French will be in danger. The Japanese did a VERY stupid thing when they attacked Pearl Harbor because America was staying out of the fighting until then. The Americans have been supplying almost this whole war, and, if they were smart, they would have been keeping all the best equipment to themselves, just in case. I am very worried about them joining.

On the other hand, the French have done nothing wrong. We have been fighting back against the Germans’ rules, and are trying to be civil people. There is a feeling in the air that something big is going to happen in France. I have the suspicion that a plan is arising from both the German army and the American. The Germans have been putting more and more defenses on the Eastern side of France for four years. The air is getting thicker and thicker with suspense. I will keep you all updated about France’s situation. Well, until next time!

    1. Bonjour my friend! No need to worry, we will soon be free of the horrid German's power! The Germans may have taken control of the French, but with the Americans and the British being a part of the allied forces they will only help us French out! They are not our enemies but our friends and with their help the Germans will be demolished!

I am deeply sorry to say but hopefully the Germans wont take it as far into the mainland and no buildings will get destroyed. As an american felt the devastation of pearl harbor and it was harsh but we were ale to pull trough in half of the time the Japanese thought it would take, that just goes to show how strong of and industrial nation we are.

    3. Bonjour bonjour! Natalie Bernard here (Emma R). I agree that the Japs bombing Pearl Harbor was a stupid move but now good old America is in the war and they will only help us! I can feel something big happening as well! I feel as though it will be brutal and gory but hopefully it will free us in the end because living in occupied France is terrible! I'm telling you all I want is to go and see some nice art in a museum or something but it's all been stolen!

    5. Hello there! I completely agree, having the Americans join this war is making me pretty nervous. Who knows what's going to happen! The Japs should not have bombed Pearl Harbor, there was no need for it. Doing that just made everything a lot more complicated and made the war even harder to survive in! This is a very scary time and I hope Italy, like always, will be able to push through.

  15. Things have turned for the worst in my family. The Nazis have put in full force their anti-Jewish laws. I can’t believe it. Me, and my family, proud Germans. But now, just because of our religion, we have to go to terrible camps? Luckily, my family and I had a chance to escape Germany. We moved to Spain, and from Spain, took a boat all the way to the new world, the United States of America. But things over here are not too well either. On December 7th, 1941, The Japanese attacked a naval base early Sunday morning in Hawaii. We have mobilized but it not doing too well in the Pacific. When we lost the Philippians, Thousands of men were left behind and taken as Japanese POWs, and in Japan, POWs were treated horribly. I am no longer a German citizen anymore, and in fact, I’m thinking about joining the war in Europe. I just hope that the actual good people in Germany are fine.

  16. Hello readers of my blog it is Andreas Smith writing once again form beautiful Dresden, Germany. All however in Germany is not well, those stupid Japanese people attacked America and they are joining the war. Just what we needed some cocky Americans to open up a 2 front war and divert our attention from Russia. At least we are not feeling the true effects of the war in Germany and we are relatively safe.

I am confident in our army but much like the First World War we are being stretched too thin. This is because our allies are not as powerful as us and are really holding us back. I really think we should get rid of this alliance with the Japanese and have the Americans just focus on them for a while and keep us more safe and focused on the Russians for a while. Although I have confidence in our military I have this tiny feeling we are not as safe as the propaganda claims.

    1. I am also a fellow German. I agree that we should break the alliance with Japan. We need to focus on ourselves, and with America getting involved that will make it a lot harder. Our army is strong, but I fear the Allies will take over. We were already defeated in the battle of Stalingrad, and we weren't able to take over El Alamein!

    2. Glad to hear you filthy Germans aren't living quite the life you were before. Your nation has single handily ruined this world! People are dying, both civilians and soldiers, in the millions of numbers. This war is outrageous and has gotten out of hand. You German civilians do not understand the full extent of what is going on. I can tell you from first-hand experience that the war front is a terrible place to be, dead bodies everywhere, the smell, and people dying that you know and love around you. I’m saying, cherish what you have for it will not last much longer, we won’t allow it to.

  17. Its Pierre Thomas here and I am happy to report America did something!!! Well they kind of were forced to because Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. But as always things aren’t that bad for America because their heavy destroyers were not even in port and that is what Japan was hoping to hit. Well with America in the war the allies are sure going to win this war. Having both Britain and America fighting together on the same side, there is almost no way they can lose. Also hopefully once they liberate some of the other countries taken over by Germany, they will also be able to help fight and defeat the axis powers. Life under Nazi rule has been both tough and completely embarrassing. They constantly remind us how easily they defeated us when they first started to expand across Europe and into Africa. Just seeing the Nazi flag, makes me absolutely sick to my stomach. I can just feel Napoleon looking down on us in disgust. I feel like the saint, Napoleon, needs to come back and help us with our defense of our country. We must get our home country, it’s the only way we will gain any respect back. If I had any power in France, I would set up a bounty against all Germans. But until France gets back on its feet, our fate is in the hand of France and Britain. With Britain’s navy and Americas industrial powers, Germany and Japan are in for a good ole beat down. And if they thought the treaty of Versailles was bad, they aint seen nothing yet. There won’t be a Germany after this world war. But for some reason Germany still has all the confidence in the world. WHO DAT?! WHO DAT!!!!!? WHO DAT SAID THEY GON BEAT THE ALLIES

I'm starting to think that our best option is to wait for the Americans at this point. 18. Bonjour! I’m free! Free at last! The date is August 25th 1944, a date I will always remember! The Germans no longer control me and I tell you, it feels incredible. After being under the control of the Germans for 4 years I was beginning to think I would not live to see the day I was once again free. Day by Day under the Germans control I would question if I would live to see the next. Living under the Axis control for so long, it feels like a part of me has been taken away and crushed into a million pieces. I will never take a day for granted ever again as long as I live. I have witnessed houses burn down, seen people wither away of starvation and seen people being killed in front of my eyes. No one under Germany’s rule would know when help would come or even if it would come. All we had left was hope and trust in the remaining allied forces and they have not let us down! Since Britain and America have joined the war, the allied powers have been more united and stronger than ever before. Once they decided to set up a second front, the Germans were doomed. The allies have made great progress and have already taken over most of Italy, the Mediterranean Sea, Africa and now Paris. The allied forces have proven to be strong and I can almost see the end, a victory for the allies! The Germans better watch out because we aren’t stopping until the war has been won.

  19. Ciao everyone, it’s your boy Giovanni Monacelli (Alec S.). Oh boy do I have some news for you guys! Well let’s just say I knew all along that our hairy and overly plump leader, Mussolini would fail us in the long run. Actually it hasn’t happened yet, but I can tell it will. Germany is getting stronger with every day that passes and it is only a matter of time before they come after the great and powerful Italy, well not as powerful as we should be at this moment. If Benito keeps up what he is doing, he will single handedly send Italy in a downward spiral ending in total combustion of Italy as we know it. He is going to get himself killed the way he is leading the military. The only regret he will probably have before he die will that he will want to appear one more time shirtless for all the beautiful Italian ladies. Of course I’m exaggerating, but really, what happens when Germany decides that want more of our land? This isn’t the Italy I once loved and admired! I still love my country, but we are definitely going to go through rough times. I do feel sympathy for the Americans and the tragedy that occurred at Pearl Harbor. I agree that those damn Japs should pay, but then again, America isn’t even on Italy’s side! In my defense I don’t agree with the decision to declare war on America. But really at this point, the short German leader who always seems to be desperate for a high five might as well be running Italy. Mussolini is a huge p****!

America, that is the country Italy should be scared of most because they are an industrialized power house and can get hundreds of thousands of troops over here in the blink of an eye. Hitler should be cautious of this too or else he will be saying, “We are losing the war? I did Nazi that coming.” I just can’t believe that America would join Britain in this war. I mean I knew that helped them out with equipment and what not but I thought they would eventually join us. I was wrong about this and may I say I hope America knows they have made the wrong choice. Joining the Axis powers would have made us unstoppable. Let’s say that Italy and Britain are two women. Italy is a beautiful, caring women… check that she’s a babe, a total dime and Britain, man I don’t know how tom put this nicely. Let’s put it this way, if Britain was a women and ugliness was a crime, that b**** would go straight to the electric chair! Although I’m not pleased that America is not on our side I can feel that in the near future Italy will face even harder times with the way Mussolini is sending us. Oh and I almost forgot! My brother broke out of prison and is currently loose. I’ve heard he is plotting to find Benito Mussolini and shave every last manly hair that he has off of his body. This would devastate the always shirtless and maybe send him into shock. Then he might finally resign. In that case, GO GIUSEPPE!

  20. Hello, my friends, Adler Barth (Brianna Leung) checking in. World War II has impacted my family and I in a drastic way. My two sons, Robert and Thomas, are back fighting. This concerns our family since at this time Germany is vastly taking over many countries in Europe. By the fall of 1942, Germany launches an attack on Russia. How much land does this crazy man want? I just want to have my boys home safe with their family. Anyways, in Russia, winter once again affects the Germans negatively. How many times will it take Hitler to learn that fighting in the winter doesn’t work with us Germans? In the end Russia holds out and is able to capture 90,000 Germans, and kill another 20,000. Luckily, my two sons weren’t affected too badly by this attack. Just minor wounds.
Not only does Hitler want to take over Europe, he wants to take over Africa as well. Germany led by, Erwin Rommel take over El Alamein. This caused Britain to lose their connection in India, and the Suez Canal. British and American forces trap Rommel and make the Nazi’s surrender in Africa. I don’t think Hitler realizes that these Allied nations are becoming stronger. They are taking some of the land that we’ve already seized. In the invasion of Italy, Rome is freed since the Allies come take over. The Allies are striving to push into Berlin. Us Germans are in trouble. The Allies are coming for us and if we don’t act fast it won’t be pretty.

  21. Wow I feel horrible for my fellow Americans. Those Japs sure are vicious and stupid. Did they really think they could attack America without anything coming at them? They need to back off. Us, Brits are coming at it hard. The Japs, Italians, and Germans are in for a rude awaking as we get further into the war. It’s a tough decision on who to attack first because the Japanese literally come out of nowhere and attacked America. America is our major alliance, so at this point we don’t know what to do. We hate the Germans more than anything, but the Japanese are a huge threat especially towards our number one alliance. But, us British are hanging in there. Germany is getting weaker due to the saturation bombing. We surprise them every other night. (hahaha sucks to suck Germany. Bad country=Bad karma.) If they really expected nothing back then they are horrid bastards.
My wife and I are finally doing great again. Ever since we started the major alliance with America they’ve been so kind to us. They send us a ton of weapons, food, and useful items for war. My baby girl will be attending preschool next week. At school the curriculum is mostly based us America being our friend and Hitler is a big meany. The school is teaching horrible things because we can’t have our kids grow up not knowing who the bad guys are. They need to be taught now that everyone isn’t their friend. The kids now are our future! They need to be smart and understand how threatening countries can be. Life’s good right now, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it changed in just a day. The future is so unpredictable now. Tata for now.

  22. Dear japs, how dare you cross the Pacific Ocean and surprise attack us Americans at Pearl Harbor. How strong do you think you guys are, well not very strong I guess since your plan of knocking us out for a year and destroying our defender boats. But thank you so much for giving FDR, our president, a real reason to send the arsenal of democracy to join the war. Now there is no chance for you and the rest of the axis powers can gain any more power. By the way I believe that the japs are weak for holding back their third wave of ships, what did u think we were going to attack you, well guess what we have laws against that anyways .I can’t thank the person who came up with interment camps enough, now I don’t have to worry about any japs spying on me and my family.
The only thing those japs did right was surprised the whole country but that doesn't change anything. Now that we are in the middle of the war as the arsenal of democracy we Americans are helping out all of our allies. We have the USSR in Stalingrad fighting Germany while us Americans and Britain forces are in El Alamein and Africa. We're shrinking the axis land mass. I can't wait for my son to come home but I also don't want him too because I enjoy working in the factories next to my best friend Rosie. well that's all the news I've got I've had a pleasure keeping my fellow Americans updated see you next time bye

  23. The Americans have entered the war. For us Germans, this is bad news. It's dangerous to have such a strong country against us now. I am worried about the effect America will have on the war. Maybe they will have a huge effect on the war. As much as I am worried, I still have faith in Germany. I believe that Hitler will guide us through the war and we will win because we deserve it. We are better than every other country.
Even though the allies are catching up, we have conquered too much land already. I don't think the allies will win as of right now. They have joined the war, but with their democratic government it will take them a while to take any sort of action against us. For now, the Americans aren't a direct threat. We just have to focus on expanding even more and becoming stronger before the Americans finally decide to attack. Germany is still very powerful and is almost certainly going to win the war.

It was a cold morning yesterday. I made the normal rounds around Vernun, when I had seen the newspaper headline, “Allied Victory at El-Alamein, Saves Suez Canal”. Of course, it had to have been snuck in…those German scum in “Vichy” France’s government have exercised their Nazi ideas of not defiling the state on us. I snuck the newspaper into my coat and headed home. I greeted mother and my brothers as I walked in, and spread the rations and news on the table. “The Allies…they’re fighting back!” My mother was shocked, and my brothers cheered a little, although we all knew this was just the beginning. The Allies would have to push further, I hoped they would succeed and rid the world of the Nazis soon.
Our town of Vernun lies in the southern part of France, thus the military had not occupied it. However, that’s not to say we weren’t occupied…because the damn Nazis had put their own government in to control us…although we had some quasi-independence. I’ve heard rumors of other occupied countries around town…some with more independence, and some are treated as lesser countries by the Germans. I guess it depends on the country…Those Nordic Norwegians and Dutch are under civilian control, Croatia’s expanding on Germany’s cruel policies…many reactions to this widespread German conquest.
It’s no surprise that America has entered this war by now. Pearl Harbor had invoked their wrath and need for war. Everyone’s spirits have been raised, and for good reason. America’s providing the power and production for this war. I’m starting to change my view of them…they looked like lazy isolationists before, but now they’re motivated and willing to support the cause of democracy. Well, “democracy”…Stalin’s on the Allies as well, although we’ll need as much help as possible to win this war.
I’m retiring for the night. The war is nearing its end and I wish to see peaceful smiles on everyone’s face once this is over…for now, faretheewell.

The window cracked open, yet nobody was there to open it. Antoine suddenly got chills and felt frightened. “Away with you, evil apparition! You will not haunt me!” Then a light sparked and a figure appeared. Augustine Platane, his father. “Father!”
Augustine: “Hello, my son. I’m here from the beyond to give you a message. Of course…ghosts have the special power to break the fourth wall, so don’t mind me in my speech.”
Antione: “Father, you speak nonsense. What is a “fourth wall?”
Augustine: “*sigh* I told you not to mind… Anyways, our author Voravich got a little irked by the fact that Mr. Vanderkeyl had not included D-Day on this blog…so now we have a plot device to fill. Antoine…my son. Travel to America somehow, and train. Work hard…because a grand day for France is coming in the air. I can only wish you good luck in the future and tell you to not die…but I guess father’s wishes aren’t the best type of armor, eh?”
Antoine: “Father, what- never mind…I shall listen to your call. I will do what I can for France, and live to tell the tale.”
Augustine: “Great. Lead them in there like our great and wise Napoleon. That’s your middle name, is it not? Well, my time is up. I shall have to bid you adieu…*flashes and leaves*”
Antoine: “Father…all of your children had the middle name Napoleon.”

[Aside] Augustine: “Dang, Voravich…why did you make me break the fourth wall? We just got that fixed an hour ago, after I accidentally swore at you, my author? You know what…that’s it, that’s the last line I’m giving you…I quit this job. Fix the fourth wall yourself!!!”

Well so far so good to say the least. At least for me and my still living younger sons. We have managed to avoid the youth groups completely now that Hitler is more worried about those allies invading Normandy. If I were a betting man I would say the Americans, British, or Russians would be at my door step in the matter of a year or so. I am just hoping that it is not the Russians because I have a feeling they will show no mercy, not saying the Americans and British wont let up, but I have a feeling they will be nicer about it and hopefully understand that I am not for Nazi Germany at all. As I look back on it I really wish I had moved to America but of course my stupid grudge after World War 1 held me back. It would have saved the lives of my sons and prevented them from being dragged into the SS. I have lucked out many times though. My town and the surrounding areas have been virtually untouched by the American and British bombings and I have only heard explosions off in the distance. I never thought I would say this but go America! I need you guys to help and would like to move to your country as soon as possible so please come save me before the Russians get here! With that I sign off.

  27. Hello fellow blogger, James Collins here again. I am posting this blog right before I go to join the army. As much as I personally want to stay out of this war, I need a job. My family is struggling and we need any money we can get. Since America is officially involved in the war, I guess now is a better time than ever to finally support this war.
I was horrified when I heard about the attack on Pearl Harbor. Those Japs have no idea what they have gotten themselves into. They are crazy to believe that they can take on America, the arsenal of democracies. I wish America would have stayed neutral, but after the attack it’s obvious that we were bound to go to war. FDR has been wait for an excuse to go to war and now he has one. Hopefully now that America is ready to begin deploying troops, this war will end quickly. Well, wish me luck in the army! Hopefully I’ll be back soon!

Words cannot express how lucky I feel that neither my apartment nor my wife and I were directly affected by the bombs. I hope I’m not jinxing it, but I feel like I repel any attacks from the war. I finally moved back into my apartment and its great not having to expect a bomb to go off every night. Hopefully, we won’t have to go through anything like that now that America is helping us, but if we do, at least we’ll be prepared.
America was just attacked, and now they can finally completely help us defeat the axis. I’m pretty sure that NO ONE expected America to be attacked, because they weren’t officially in the war yet. There is no doubt in my mind that we will defeats the Japanese, Italians, and most importantly, Germans. Although I am reaching my old age, I am considering rejoining the army. It’s going to be hard for me to leave my scrap-booking behind, but I cannot watch my country fight without helping.

  29. Hello all! My dream came true! The Americans are in the war, thanks to the Japs. It wasn’t a great way to get into the war, but hey we’re in. On December 7th, Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. This caught us Americans by surprise. Even though Japan is weak and we can beat them any day… I don’t want them coming into our territory. Thank god our big destroyers were out at sea so that the Japs couldn’t sink them. The Japs surprise attacked us and then was scared that our destroyers were going to fight back… Obviously we are going to fight back! When they found out those destroyers were out, they called off their third wave and made their way home. If I were them I would be scared of us too. We are a strong country and no one could break us. Japan hoped that they would knock us out for a year… But we were only knocked out for a few months. It was a nice try though…
Japan isn’t as good as they think, but we still need to shut em’ up. First Germany was our number one concern, now Japan is because they just attacked us. But right after them we need to take out Hitler. Now that we are in the war, we are over helping all our allies out. Britain and we Americans are spending time over in El Alamein. Also we are fighting in Africa, while the USSR is fighting the Germans in Stalingrad… Best wishes to them. Germany needs to finally get out of power in most of Europe. They’re no good.

Bonjour mes amis! So much has happened since I last wrote and that was such a short time ago! Unfortunately France is still occupied, so not much is going on here but the rest of the world is very busy in comparison. Life in occupied France is not the best. The Nazi’s just walked right in like they owned the place and took all of our natural resources as well as factory goods that are already manufactured. They’re also taking people and forcing them to work in German factories. Taxes are being imposed and raised on everyone and worst of all enormous collections of art are being stolen and hidden! C'est épouvantable!
The Japanese have bombed Pearl Harbor, which is a main naval base. I heard that they were targeting America’s seven big aircraft carriers. They did this to try and knock America out of the war for at least a year so they had an advantage. America is the only country that could compete with the Japanese and stop them so by stopping America, the Japanese had no one in their way. The Americans have also put an embargo on oil and the Japanese can’t function without the oil they get from America; they had hoped to scare America into lifting the embargo on oil and also they wanted the Americans out of Hawaii.
I think that things are looking up now that America has entered the war and I’m still crossing my fingers! Au revoir!

  31. Well I sure have learned a new word in these past few weeks, siege. As Webster’s dictionary defines it is as followed: a situation in which soldiers or police officers surround a city, building, etc., in order to try to take control of it. Now in my opinion they put that in very kind words. The dictionary folks have no idea what the taste of wall paper leaves in your mouth, or even the look of the dead bodied pilling up. The other day I was walking down my street and dear lord I saw a woman on the ground begging for food. I kept staring deeply and awkwardly into her eyes and it was Julie. JULIE. Book club Julie. Now I don’t know and frankly do no care if you know Julie or not but she is the richest woman in book club. Apparently being rich in a time of war comes into no use, it seems like the money she did have is worthless by now. I wish I could do something to help but I could barely help myself at this point. Heck! Three of my cats have died already, the other eight and a half dearly miss her. No one can survive in war at this point.

So the latest gossip on the street lately is what happened during last week’s book club. A strange man came in and ripped pages out of our books. Apparently it goes against Nazi’s leaders and the big guys don’t like that. With all the propaganda going around even little children’s cartoons are ruined! Oh boy, oh boy! Oh girl, oh girl. Even worse the Japanese are up to something. I went to my physic yesterday and she sensed there would be a great attack on America soon. I thought maybe Canada was evil but then later realized that Japan would be the ones to attack. Heck after the rape of the town in China I have no idea what is going to happen. All that I know is that I will be late to book club in town today. (More like book club minus Julie.) I will right soon more about what my physic said about America attacking on D- Day, whatever that is.

A WHILE LATER: Gee wiz! D-Day actually happened! This is nothing to be cheering about but gosh this whole war thing is just riveting! Thousands of troops landed on the beaches of Normandy to push the Nazis out of France towards Berlin. Just reading about the fighting in the papers is just torturous to think of. I hope that this will never happen in my village! But luckily for us the whole Mediterranean Sea is under allied control so goods can be sent to my homeland. Since my last writing I managed to escape my sieged city and move into the woods about 5.2 miles away from any town. I grow my own crops and have a book club with my now 3 cats. Time to end my quick post. I mustn't be late for book club again.

  32. Hello from Germany! Things are O.K. here, minus the occasional bombing. It was only my office building got bombed though, so no complaints there! Thankfully it was on my lunch break, which was…extended a bit…I guess you could say. My home and family are doing fine, just as long as these bombings don’t pick up. I feel that work life and home life should be separate. (AKA I would be a bit more upset if my home were in ruins, as opposed to my cubicle.)
I am happy that America got involved in this war, although I’m sorry they got attacked at Pearl Harbor. With them involved this war should only last another couple of years, thank goodness! As much as I like the German people, we need help from the Allies to stop Hitler. The winter doesn’t hold dictators off forever. To any Allies out there, the German citizens need your help!

  33. Ciao, this is Agapito in his not drunk state! I wanted to apologize for my actions on my last Blog, I was just very upset at the point we are in at the war. Mussolini is failing Italy and it is just a matter of time before he gets thrown out. Germany is conquering all of continental Europe, and pretty soon we will be next! Mussolini is not doing anything to help out in the war! For his sake I hope he takes power away from himself or he will soon get killed! I still believe we are the strongest in the war but Germany is defiantly catching up. I heard about the Japanese attacking America and I think it is great! That will almost force America into the war and then America will be able to defeat Hitler and Germany.
Now on a more personal note, my mother is dying of a cold! There is no cure to it and I think it is awful. It is time someone stepped up and started doing something about all these deaths around the world. You know what I think that person should be me! I am going to save my mother, save humanity, and be the most famous person to ever live! But with such an awful name I don’t think it is possible to be famous so I will have to come up with a new on! I got it! Einstein. Albert Einstein!

First off, Wow! Germany already broke the non-aggression pact. I thought it would have been a few years from now but whatever. Haha lol at the Germans for not being prepared for the winter a SECOND TIME!!! Moreover how dare those filthy japs to bomb my fellow Americans. 35. I made a decision for my fate in Britain. I had decided to join the military once more and fight off the nasty Germans and there weak friends the Italians. I have been moved to Africa to try to win back that front from the Nazis. I am stationed in El-Alamein, Egypt in preparation for the large attack expected on this area. This port is our last connection to India and most of Asia; this is expected to be one of the most important battles in the war. If all goes as planned, we shall win this battle and move towards Tunisia to trap the Germans there. I pray every day that I may go home to my wonderful family and live like we once did, yet I fear that this will not come true.
I can’t be happier that the Americans have joined the war. This is just the turning point that we need! We are no match for the Nazi army, but us and the Americans; we are a much stronger force. With their forces and Churchill’s swag, I can’t think of one thing that could beat us. When we have gone through these countries and liberated them, I couldn't believe my eyes at how bad life was. People dead all over the streets, little to no food is available, any non-Aryan is sent to concentration camps, you name it these people are going through it. I thought life was bad enough in Britain but these places have it much much worse.

  36. America has finally entered WWII, it's a miracle. The only problem is, America had to enter this war because of Japan's extensive actions on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. This should not have been the cause of America joining the war. It should have been something that didn't involve thousands of casualties. The three Ally powers are finally going to be able to save us from Hitler's rule. Now it's only a matter of time until the Allies break through the wall of Nazis defending this blood bath. America better hurry and get control of Germany so they can send troops to Japan and destroy them. The Russians are lucky that they have winter on their side, or the entire eastern front would be under Nazi control.

I am now living in a different hide out than before because the other building was set on fire. My family has lost so much in the past few years and now we are on the run again. Food and living space just keeps getting smaller and smaller as the months go on. My family cant leave Berlin, its surrounded by Nazis. If we tried to escape Berlin, we would be killed on the spot. Hopefully we can stay alive and hold up until the Allies get here. Hitler is going down and "I'm yelling Timbeerrrr."

America has finally joined the war! We were able to contact our friends that live outside the ghetto and they were able to help us escape. We are staying in their basement at the moment. I must say the basement is a bit drab. I wish I had that fantastic rug my wife picked out to brighten up the room a little. Our friends are involved in the underground movement to help save Jewish people. This morning when they came back to the house from the market they told us what they had heard on the radio. Apparently Japan bombed an American Navy base in Hawaii. They killed many people but America held on because their seven heavy American destroyers were at sea and survived. America and Britain declared war on Japan. Shortly after Germany and Italy declared war on the US. Maybe the allies will actually be able to stop Hitler if they have the Americans full support. The only thing that I don’t understand is that America wants to go after Japan first. I understand that Japan bombed them but I think they have bigger problems like the Nazis. Maybe they still have not realized just how bad things are in Europe. The Germans are closing in on Russia and if America and Britain open up a second front it could help the Russians fight back. The winter seems like the only thing that can help the Russians right now. If they can manage to keep the Germans out of Stalingrad then they have a chance. We are so close to freedom it’s like I can hear the American soldiers walking down the street now. It is not going to be easy for the allies, but they will win. I can’t wait to have a normal life again.

  38. Richard Pine here, if only America had become an isolated country, Pearl Harbor would have never happened. At this moment, we have Japanese people living in America (IMMIGRANTS!) and for all we know they could be spies. I get why America allied with Britain, but why the hell did we ally with the Russians? A year ago they were allies with Hitler! But of course, America feels bad because Hitler attacked them. Well what if they do the same to us?
For years since this war started, Jewish immigrants have been trying to come and live here, but it bugged me as much as all the other immigrants living in America do until today. Jewish immigrants from who knows where moved into the house next to us yesterday and my wife made them lasagna! My son and daughters are out in some foreign country and you want to make immigrants lasagna? I am still Isolated America strong as long as my son stays alive and America doesn’t screw up again. See you next time America screws up.

  39. Oswald here just wanted to inform everyone that I’ve been promoted yet again. This should be no shocker to anyone, and if you see me and my majestic beauty feel free to ask for an autograph. I will turn no fan down. But yeah, instead of being in charge of just one ship, now I’m in control of an entire fleet. I tell, Prime Minister Churchill really knows what he is doing and is bloody brilliant when it comes to war. You know what, my wife is pregnant again, and I think I will name my second child regardless if it is a boy or girl Winston Churchill Cobblepot. If it actually is a girl, she can suck it up and go by CC if it is just that mortifying. Anyway, enough about my lovely life and back to the grueling war. Recently, the minister himself asked me to call back most of my fleet. He says that were going to be preparing for a large scale assault on those scummy Germans. I asked him where this would take place and he said “Oswald, you magnificent, brilliant, handsome man you. The French beaches Normandy of course! It’s the perfect location.” I then proceeded to ask him why not a shorter trip across the channel. He answered, “Because that’s where Hitler will be expecting! This location gives us the perfect amount of room to attack and also defend if things don’t go according to plan. But, I have a good feeling about this one my dashing and amazing friend. As soon as the Americans troops and Brits that were fighting in northern Africa arrive, we will begin preparation!” After this, I thank the minister kindly for his time and carried on with my duties.
Oh, the Americans! Those poor Americans. Japanese really through them for a loop with there surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. I hear, the sailors there tried to send out reports that they were under attack, but people just thought it was a joke. Now, from what I understand, it was a very shallow port, so when the ships were sunk, they didn’t go to the depths were no one could find them. They were clearly visible from shore. But some sailors were still trapped inside and couldn’t get out. Their comrades tried to free them, but their efforts were futile. My heart goes out to them. Why, if my ship was ever sunk I wouldn’t need to worry. You know why? Because back in the first war, I swore I heard mermaids knocking on the hull of my ship. They must have been entranced by my beauty. So, they would save me. But the sneaky Japanese are real cowards. So much for their samurai code and fighting honorable. They are more like murderers. You don’t know truly who they are or what their capable of till they first strike, and they always hit and unsuspecting target. On a side note, Disney is also getting in on this war. Saw my son the other day watching Donald Duck live in a humors but awful Nazi, Germany. Well, I have important matters to attend to right now, so stay safe people and remember if you get in a jam ask yourself what would Oswald do? Or W.W.O.D?

  40. What did I tell you? Were at war now, all because of the stupid japs. I called it-said that if we didn’t go into war voluntary soon, we’d be toast. Now that’s what the island of Oahu is- burnt like bread in a toaster. The Japanese failed though. They thought they could defeat us, all because they wanted us knocked out for a year. Expansion and recourses, that’s what they wanted. It was pretty dumb of them for underestimating us. Those slant-eyes didn’t even send out their third wave of attackers! How utterly idiotic. This gave us more time to react to the first two waves, which helped us come back within six months. Take that, ya damn japs. Even though we fought back pretty quickly, we still lost over two thousand men, and our naval base was destroyed. Either way, we cant let that faze us-we got bigger problems at hand now that were in the war!
I almost forgot to tell you about what we did to the Japanese-Americans after that Pearl Harbor attack. We sent them to “internment camps”. The government put about 100,000 of them in those buildings in the west. They were scared that the japs might hurt the war effort, to which I agree, so they’re all gathered up in these large houses. They shouldn’t even be able to live in America anymore, after what their own kind did to our homeland. I say we just send them all back to japan, like Britain is doing with their German and Italian population. This action is called “repatriation”, I think. Well, that’s all for now, better go yell at some japs for overcooking my rice! Ah, Asian humor.

  41. So this is Tom again, and since the last post thing have gotten pretty mixed up. America has entered world war II and Pearl Harbor has been attacked by the Japs (to be honest, I don't even know where Pearl Harbor is). I made the decision to join the army. Now, a dashing, fit, smart man like me is rare to come by so I figured I would be the best man for the grand army. I went to the daft person guy, and signed up. The young wipper-snapper who was not very kind to me when I signed up, sent me off to basic training. This is where the "fun" begins.
As soon as I get on the train to go to the base, a kid says"Aren't you a bit old to join the army?" and I was horrified. How could he think a 46 year old man is "too old" for the army? Maybe he's too young to be commenting on me joining our great nation's national guard. So I said "Are you talking to me? You better not be talking to me because if you were talking to me I'd attack you like a rabid spider-monkey."
He answered by giving me a look that was sort of like this ":0". So I left him to think about what I had just said. When I got to training the trainer guy who was younger than me yelled at everyone "Get off this train!" so a I was moving along he stops me and just says "No, ha, no. get back on the train" I was fed up with this so I bounded into action and hit him in the arm. I think I broke my hand when I did. Long story short, the quarrel ened with me crying myself to sleep with a face where my butt should be and a butt where my face should be (not literally, figuratively). So now I'm on a midnight train to Georgia and humiliated because no body knows the trouble I've seen.

  43. Hello again! I may seem happy, but believe me I’m not. My wonderful country, Italy is going through a very tough time right now. First of all, I need to just say that I can’t believe I ever even thought about trusting Mussolini. He promised us that Italy would be great and powerful but now our country seems to be going straight downhill! Yes at first I said that Italy would completely dominate any other country who came our way, but that was when I was believing all of Mussolini’s lies. I’m so upset about this because if Italy actually had an honest and strong leader, we could actually win. Italy is an amazing country but with a leader like Mussolini, it doesn’t seem like it.

Just recently, Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, which sent America into war. A lot of other countries are excited about this, but America is not on Italy’s side! Based on our horrible leader, I’m actually very worried for Italy right now, I can’t tell what’s going to happen. I know in the end that Italy will push through, but it’s going to be very difficult. Italy is sided with Germany and Germany just keeps getting stronger, while Italy over here isn’t getting anything. This whole situation is completely unfair and everyone I’m talk to, here in Italy, are furious with what is going on! This isn’t something that eating a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs will fix. I’m just going to try to support Italy until we can get through this tough time, and even if we don’t come out on top, Italy will still be amazing.

Oh gosh darn! America has been attacked by the Japs! Why! WHY?! Why can't foreign policies keep to themselves? This is only putting America in danger! Sure our army is fantabulous and we're doing fine in the war, but goodness! Not to mention all the spies the Japanese have probably sent to our wonderful country! We must be more alert, we cannot let the Japs attack us again! And what's with Hitler over there?! Why are these Nazis murdering Jews left and right? I will never understand these other countries! This is insane! From the beginning I never wanted America to get involved with other countries, but now it seems it is my duty to step up and to fight for my country and to fight for what is right- not just for my country, but for the justice of other human beings in foreign lands. I've decided to sign up for the war... again... even though I died, revived myself, came home and retired, it's time to try again! Sooner or later the Allies will reach Italy and they will be able to get rid of Mussolini the man of false promises. He is an awful leader who was unable to do anything at all when it comes to bettering the Great country of Italy. So once the Allies arrive and get rid of him, the greatest super mega awesome wonderful party will start that I shall be hosting and all people will be able to enjoy and celebrate even the troops of the Allies. This party shall be so great it shall last for 4 days and 4 nights and it shall be told down the generation of children of what was the greatest party ever known to all of mankind and will not be topped for generations.
Also while all of this has been happening Russia has finally been able to do something against the Germans thanks to General Winter AGAIN. Gosh I know history repeats itself but really this is probably like the 20th time people went and attacked Russia during the winter. Oh and look what happens they all lose in utter defeat. Also I’ve heard that Hitler has actually gone and hidden himself in a bunker where no one can get to him. He is a real coward not even able to face that he is going to lose in defeat. For all you regular Germans brainwashed by him and the other Nazis I feel bad but for all you Nazis out there go die in a hole you foul, evil, little cockroaches. Well I must go now planning for what is going to be the best party even known to mankind will be hard, long work, but if anyone can do it, it is me with all the support and connections around Italy that I have. 47. A very conflicted Peter Smith, writing to you from good old Flint; I’ve been quite busy lately, since my factory switched over to making tanks and rehired a bunch of us. Wages went up as the demand increase, with all of this War craziness around here. I actually saw a grocery clerk in an American Flag jump suit, if you could believe it. Both of my sons are serving, Henry in the Air Force and Lee in the Marines. Even little Harriet is going to North Africa of all places. Does Tunisia sound like Berlin to you? Yup, me neither.
See bombing Hawaii was horrific; none of those good all-American lives should’ve lost their lives in those ships. The problem is that they were all clearly war hungry, and it was Hawaii, which definitely does not count as America. It was an Asian island, and it still is. We should keep everyone with in our borders and only fend off attacks that happen there. I’ve been saying all along that we need to get rid of all those Japs (there were only three in Flint) but lets get rid of the Italians and the Slavs too, I mean New Mexico isn’t doing much, how about we herd them all down there and bomb the bejeezus out of it until they’re all gone. I sent a letter to FDR and Churchill about this, but apparently all it got me was a spot on a Terrorism Watch list. I have no idea why. Either way, I am quite frustrated with all these posters and ads for war; no way; war is not for me.

Those British people have given us trouble for as long as I can remember. Ryan Gray. Anyways, it’s really different having absolutely no Jews around, from what I hear they are all either dead or in line to be dead. Who would have thought that you could erase an entire group of people? Ryan Gray. Of course Germany can do it! We can do anything we want because we are the strongest country in the world, and the world will soon be ours! Back to the real buisness right now though, since we started to invade Russia we have been going at a sold rate of expansion. It is quite chilly out there right now so hopefully the Russian winter dosent hit our troops hard, because that would be quite the hit on our overall mission. Thank god our wonderful leader Hitler (HEIL) is a genius and will most likely pull out of the area and wait some time and reorganize a strategy to overcome the Russians once and for all! As the weeks go by though all i can do is wait to hear word from my Dragobert, i really do wish that he dosent end up in a crazy hostile battle over there in Russia, theyre crazies out there on the Eastern front.

I havent heard word from Dragobert in quite some time now, plus i have heard from one of my other non-important sons that i still dont know their names of that we are starting to lose ground in the east, plus my other non-important son has told me that the Americans and British are coming from up South from Italy. Those Italians better step up their game before we get screwed over here. I dont feel like dying to the hands of an American or British man, especially after what we did to London, good golly we didnt leave that place in tact. I should rest assure though that i can trust the Nazi army to get rid of all of them. Again though i am quite worried right now about my son Dragobert, he isnt responding to any of my mail, or any of my telegrams. Sadly signing off Karlheinz Kruger.

  50. It’s Napoleon the 163rd again, and I have breaking news: THE AMERICANS HAVE ACTUALLY DONE SOMETHING! How much of Europe did the Germans have to take before those selfish Americans stepped in? “The Arsenal Of Democracy” was pretty dormant until a little while ago. It all started with the Americans helping the British in Africa. They pushed and soon took Italy. Now, more importantly, the Allies have landed in Normandy. Us French will soon be liberated!!! I have spent countless days sitting in my house watching those greedy German soldiers walk around on OUR streets like it is THEIR land. After the attack, the Germans actually looked scared for once. The soldiers were running sbout frantically barking orders at one another. I even saw a group of Jews being horded on to a truck. I have heard rumors that these trucks are headed back to the actual country of Germany. Keep pushing America, it’s working!
But, I have also seen some of the scariest and saddest things I have ever seen. One day, one normal day, a bunch of Germans brought about Jews out to the plaza in front of my house. The soldiers started laughing and pulled out a quarter. If it landed on heads, then the Jew was shot in the head and not made to suffer. If it was tails, they were slit on their tongue and hung upside down until they bleed out. I have never vomited as much as I did that morning. OK, OK, I can’t speak about that anymore. Back to the good news, the Allies won over the beaches the other day and are pushing inland. Freedom is knocking! And even beter, on the other side, the Russians won the Battle of Stalingrad. The day after the battle, there were celebrations, riots, and even small, small uprisings. The people were stirring under the Nazis, and the Russian Victory had ignited it. I am also happy on behalf of the Jews, as some of my friends that I haven’t seen in a while may get to finally come home. I am so excited to welcome each and every one of them. Well that’s all for now, THANK YOU America and Britain and keep going strong!

  51. Ryan here, me and my family are still hanging on here in this ghetto and not much has really changed here, we are still suffering. News is beginning to spread around here about Hitler failing in taking over Russia. Apparently Hitler wasn’t well prepared as he went further into Russia and was ultimately defeated by winter, which is stupid because this wasn’t the first time. News has also spread that America has just entered the war due to the Japanese bombing one of their naval bases, Pearl Harbor. All I can say is thank you to the Japs. Now that America is finally involved in this war I feel that Hitler can be stopped. I hope that Russia begins to push Hitler back into Germany and then destroys the Nazi empire. I also hope Hitler gets executed, he deserves nothing better than death.
I am once again very very very pleased that America has joined the war. I just hope they don’t have their hands full with Japan and forget about Hitler and Germany. I doubt they will though as they are allied with Britain who is fed up with the Germans bombing their cities. Only time will tell I guess but there is now a sign of hope as America joined the war.

  52. So I can tell that something is going to happen soon even though my husband still won’t tell me anything! He is wigging out most of the time these days, and is super overprotective, which would be sweet if it was in a nice way… he really just never lets me out of the house alone anymore. I always find a way to hear news on what is going on in our beautiful country through a very long and tangled grapevine. I have heard that there was an attack on America by the Japanese. What I heard of it was very vicious and very rude. I mean, what did America ever do to Japan? I also have heard that our great leader, Mussolini, is not so great anymore. My husband mumbled in his sleep the other night about that guy. From what I could make out, he was saying that he wanted Mussolini dead, even if he had to do it himself! What is going on in the world? Could this be the downfall of our glorious country, or will we continue with our greatness?

  53. Dear Journal,
I barely have time to write anymore; the children are always running amuck the house! Italy seems to be having trouble in the war at the moment, and Mussolini, of whom I thought would be a great leader, has been disappointing us frequently lately. He had such great ideas too! What happened to that?
Though Mussolini has been disappointing, Hitler has taken every opportunity necessary to gain more land and help us fight for more, yet I think he is going about it all wrong. Though I wish that it was us Italians that had this much influence and land, I am very glad that we are not part of the allies, the Germans have been anything but gentle to places like Britain. I heard the conditions are just horrible! Can you imagine sleeping in a train station while your beloved city is bombed? Just unthinkable! I feel so bad for the children in Britain, they are being sent away to other countries simply because these bomb attacks are not stopping! I could never let go of my children so easily, though if I had to choose between me and them, I would most definitely allow them to live, they are my precious babies, after all.
Ah journal, you would not believe what happened! The Americans seem to have joined the war! According to the American newspapers my husband told me about (he is away on business), it was the Japanese! Who would've thought, right? I completely forgot that the Japanese are our allies; they haven't done as much as the Germans or us Italians have in Europe. When my husband, Simon, was bringing his brother's sons to America (they, sadly, lost their home and father in the bombings in London) he told me that he saw several illustrations depicting the Japanese, or Japs as they refer to them, as vermin. Many of these posters depicted them as brutal murderers, but I've never met one myself so I do not know, but clearly they are not as great as us Italians are, I mean, we have spaghetti and meatballs, we most definitely have the upper hand over them. The Americans seem to be overacting in my opinion, so what they attacked you? It was on a small island for goodness sake! And it was December, its not like much can be done in the winter anyway! And its not as if they deliberately attacked the civilians, they went for the ships (You know in the harbor)! I must not get too carried away, still have a dinner to prepare, the kid's uncle John is coming over for dinner, he says he has many stories to tell about how his military service has been going thus far; I wonder if the Germans understand that we Italians are quite mighty as well.
Oh dear, the children seem to have fallen down whilst playing a game, ta ta, journal!

    Dear Journal,
I do not have much time to write at the moment, but my husband came home with some news. It seems the allies have opened up a front, or at least are trying to, in France. There were several casualties as well, I sure hope his family hasn't suffered another loss. I believe his sister-in-law's son was drafted in to the army last year, I surely hope he is not among the ones lost, she cannot take anymore grief, her heart is wounded enough from her husband's loss. She does try to seem positive though, I see it in her letters that she writes to me and the children. It seems she's taken up work, she said something about being inspired by "Rosie the Riveter" and how it's time for us women to show that men are not the only one's capable of work and success. She also says that building the planes and war equipment makes her feel as though she is helping her son, of whom she hasn't heard from in such a long time. I do agree with the statement, but who is this Rosie? Oh, it seems my husband would like some coffee, I'll try to get as much information on the attack on France, or "D Day" as they seem to be referring to it. May god be with my in-laws.

  54. What’s my name again……..? Ooh yeah now I remember, Maximillian Swartz. A lot has happened. My house got bombed by the stupid Brits (no offense to Churchill and his manliness) and those fat rednecks that you all call Americans. On the bright side my two young daughters didn’t get hurt. Luckily for them that I ordered a bunk bed cage and they were protected. I was also reading in the newspaper, “The Nazi Times” was the name, that Japan attacked America. Sometimes those Japs can be a real pain in my butt. Because of them, America is now officially in the war. It scared me at first and then I remembered that they are a democracy and we all know that democracy armies suck. I also read that they put the Japanese in internment camps. This good because some of them could be spies, it is also bad for them because they will have no more P. F. Changs. If this happened in Germany and I knew that they were spies, I still wouldn’t put them in the camps because of love to P. F Changs. Im getting hungry just thinking about it that I might just get some……. 10 minutes later………. Now back to the story. Germany is winning, Russia is on the break of losing, Britain and America are getting better, and we are almost taken over all of Europe. Although I am talking about how good life is like in Germany, there is a lot of happening too. We are getting bombed almost every day and thousands of German civilians are being killed and they did nothing wrong. It is also hard to see all of the Jewish people being killed. I was actually hiding a Jewish family in my basement. Good thing that the bomb only affected the roof and my bedroom I stored enough food down there to last them a month and should be returning home before that. By doing this I know that I can get arrested, it for the greater good. I don’t listen to the propaganda anymore because I am smarter than that. Although I am a military man myself, I don’t want this war because I know that the end will be horrifying. On the other hand, my son Jurgen has graduated Law school and is making billions. Hopefully when this all blows over, if it blows over, I can take another trip back to America. I heard rumors of a new taco in the works. A breakfast taco with the taco shell as the waffle. I can’t talk anymore, it is making my mouth start to water just thinking about it. this is Maximillian Swartz saying goodnight from my cozy bed in the hospital with some my midnight blogging.
